The Planning Team for the 3rd Women in Leadership Symposium invites you to Portland, Oregon, USA, on Friday, June 5, as we continue to address challenges in leading individuals and teams in healthcare simulation environments.

COLLABORATE WITH MEMBERS OF THREE PARTNERING SOCIETIES
This multi-professional symposium will occur immediately prior to the 2020 ASPE Annual Conference in order to streamline travel for attendees of both events.

EXPERIENTIAL ACTIVITIES
Simulated scenarios utilizing role-play with professional standardized patients will frame the educational sessions to help us practice different communication styles and responses during common emotionally charged interactions. Finally, we will again utilize the highly effective peer coaching format to help attendees make connections and strengthen the leadership network within the healthcare simulation.

ACCESS TO LOCAL LEADERSHIP AND SIMULATION EXPERTS
Leaning on voices of advocates for women leadership willing to share personal successes and failures in their leadership journey, speakers include dynamic local professionals and experienced leaders from SSH, INACSL, and ASPE.

TESTIMONIALS
2019 WOMEN IN LEADERSHIP SYMPOSIUM – DALLAS, TX

“The role-play scenarios helped me to understand how the materials presented in didactic work in real life. The SPS was GREAT!!!!”

“It was apparent how much thought went into this session! I absolutely loved the use of Standardized Patients here - really opened my eyes to the multitude of possibilities with SPs! I am in Pediatrics and typically don't work with SPs but this was so helpful to see how they could be included!”

“This was my first time attending the Women in Leadership Symposium and I must say it was evident that a great deal of hard work went into the development of this Symposium.  I am pleased to report that I not only enjoyed myself, but it was worth attending.  It is my goal to make a conscious effort to apply what I learned to my work practices.”

MAKE CONNECTIONS AND STRENGTHEN LEADERSHIP
Finally, we will again utilize the highly effective peer-coaching format to help attendees make connections and strengthen the leadership network within the healthcare simulation.
