The ASPE Standards of Best PracticeASPE members from around the world have contributed to the development of the ASPE Standards of Best Practice (SOBP). The standards were written to ensure the growth, integrity and safe application of SP-based education practices. The standards identify five domains: safe work environment; case development; SP training for role portrayal, feedback, and completion of assessment instruments; program management, and professional development. The domains are divided into principles which are elucidated by key practices that offer practical guidelines for desired outcomes and safe simulation practices. The standards have been published in Advances in Simulation. Click here to read them. The SOBP are intended to be used in conjunction with the International Nursing Association for Clinical Simulation and Learning (INACSL) Standards of Best Practice: SimulationSM, which address broader simulation practices. You can read them here. Standards of Best Practice Infographic
