Webinar Summary:

Standardized Patients (SPs) have become a widely accepted educational tool over the past thirty years.  Although over 1000 papers have been published which discuss projects or programs using SPs, issues relating to the day-to-day use of SPs have not been systematically studied.  This workshop will focus on practical issues relating to SP use and offer opportunities for participants to discuss topics for future systematic study.  It is hoped that ideas generated in this workshop will serve to foster new muti-institutional research initiatives.

Webinar Goals:

  • To familiarize participants with the research topics currently being addressed and methods used in SP Research
  • To Provide an opportunity for prioritization of topics involving SPs that need to be systematically studied
  • To offer opportunities for collaboration among attendees
