General Interest: Top 5 Lists for Kansas City

Julie Mack has shared some “Top 5” lists of destinations and restaurants in Kansas City.
A new Street Car line has 3 free streetcars that run continuously from the River Market Area along Grand Avenue to Union Station. Grand is located just 4 blocks east of the Downtown Marriott location of the conference.
KC SP Staff’s Top 5 destinations off the street car line:
- River Market District – The Farmhouse Restaurant (300 Delaware)
- River Market District – Quay Coffee (412 Delaware)
- Power and Light District – The Rockhill Grill (2000 Grand)
- Crossroads District – Green Lady Lounge Jazz Club (1809 Grand)
Top 5 Cab/Uber Destinations:
- Country Club Plaza – shopping and dining (47th and Broadway)
- Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art (4525 Oak)
- 18th and Vine District – Negro Leagues Baseball Museum, the American Jazz Museum and Blue Room Jazz Club
- Kauffman Stadium – Kansas City Royals and they are in town in Mid-June
- Union Station and the National World War 1 Museum and Memorial (also on streetcar route)
Top 5 BBQ Restaurants:
- Arthur Bryant’s – oldest and most famous (1727 Brooklyn Ave., Uber or Cab)
- Jack Stack Barbeque in the Freight House District (101 W. 22nd, Uber or Streetcar)
- Joe’s Kansas City (3002 W. 47th Ave. Kansas City, KS, Uber or Cab)
- Q39 (1000 W. 39th Ave., not far from KUMC Health Education Building)
- B.B.’s Lawnside Blues and BBQ (In South KC - far, but has live blues, Uber or Cab)
