ASPE/SSH Affiliation Agreement

The Association for Standardized Patient Educators (ASPE) and the Society for Simulation in Healthcare (SSH) are pleased to announce an affiliation agreement. ASPE is an international organization established in 2001 to advance the interests of professionals who make use of standardized patients in healthcare education. SSH is an international organization of healthcare providers, educators, engineers, and scientists formed in 2004 to advance the interests of a growing simulation community.

The new affiliation allows each organization to offer its respective members an opportunity to join or renew membership with the other organization at a reduced rate. ASPE members may contact ASPE Admin at cospolich@aspeducators.org or (504) 988-6440 for more information and to request a discount code to use when joining or renewing their SSH membership. The SSH website is www.ssih.org. Your SSH membership will also include a subscription to the journal, Simulation in Healthcare, which is an official journal of ASPE. ASPE is represented on the Editorial Board.

The Boards of Directors of ASPE and SSH look forward to working together to achieve their common goal of furthering healthcare education, patient safety and patient-centered care using simulation in all forms.
