All ASPE members who have abstracts accepted for the upcoming ASPE annual Meeting are eligible to be considered for a scholarship award

Criteria

Submitters must select an area of scholarship for the abstract submitted from the following areas:

The areas of scholarship (as defined by the AAMC) in which we are interested in seeing submitters identify their abstracts are:

3. Advising and mentoring- for professional development of learners, SPs or peers- Developmental relationships that encompass a spectrum of activities

5. Learner assessment- defined as all activities associated with measuring learner’s knowledge, skill and attitudes. Needs to include development, implementation, analysis and interpretation of result

Review Process

  1. Abstracts will be processed per protocol
  2. Those abstracts that are accepted will then be identified as to whether the author has requested scholarship funds
  3. Those abstracts will be assessed by a conference subcommittee who will make decision as to how to award funds.
  4. Submitters will be notified of a scholarship award to offset conference fees.
