Parade through the Historic French Quarter & Reception:

It is time to leave your cares behind and experience why we in New Orleans never seem to want to leave our unique city. At approximately 7:00 on Sunday evening, we will follow our own Second Line Brass Band out the front doors of the Fairmont and parade through the streets of the Historic French Quarter, escorted by our own New Orleans Police Department Cruisers. You will be provided Mardi Gras beads when you arrive and register. Don’t be surprised when both locals and tourists along the way beg for these trinkets with calls like "Throw me something lady" a common refrain in New Orleans. We will parade back to the hotel to feast on New Orleans specialties in the historic Blue Room, the original dinner club where performers such as have been entertaining audiences for over 100 years.

Costumes are optional but highly encouraged. If you don’t have something at home that you have just been waiting for a place to wear it, we will have our own Costume Shoppe where you can create a costume, or supplement what you have at a nominal fee. Remember, part of costuming and masking is the sense of freedom you have when everyone is wondering who is behind that feathered mask.
