The effect of periodic retraining on Standardized Patient interrater reliability
Objective:
The objectives of this poster are to provide SP Educators:
1.
2.
Methods:
This study proposes to determine the effect of periodic retraining on interrater reliability of Standardized Patients participating in a year long Clinical Performance Exam (CPX) by using a true experimental pretest-posttest control group design. The independent variable for the study is periodic retraining. The dependent variable is the SP interrater reliability. To determine interrater reliability, reviewers observed Standardized Patients for each of the eight cases of the CPX. During the observation, the reviewers completed a checklist and later compared both checklists. The comparison was recorded on a form and based on the information the reviewer was able to determine the interrater reliability of the Standardized Patient.
Results:
Results will be in the form of a statistical representation of:
(1)Control Group

b.
(2) Experimental Group

Conclusion:
The poster will provide information to SP Educators on the effect of periodic retraining on interrater reliability. |
