Research Workshops
The ASPE Grants and Research Committee is offering a series of six
research-focused workshops. This series will include topics such as
different types of research, how to ask a research question, writing for
research/grants and an introduction to statistics and data analysis.
Part I and Part II will be offered at the 2004 Annual Meeting.
Part I
TYPES OF RESEARCH: This workshop will provide participants with an
overview of the types of research currently being used with SPs and
directions for future studies. click for details.
Part II
HOW TO ASK A RESEARCH QUESTION: This workshop will provide the
participants with the skills to analyze a problem related to SP
methodology and develop that problem into a research question. click for details.
Pre-Conference Workshops
STANDARDIZED PATIENT PROGRAM ESSENTIALS FOR BEGINNERS: This workshop is
intended for those relatively new to the field of SP methodology and will
focus on the essential components of setting up and running a standardized
patient program. click for details.
PRESENTATION SKILLS FOR THE PRESENTER: This workshop is intended for
Standardized Patient Educators who find themselves in front of faculty,
students, clients & standardized patients or at local or national
meetings and would like to refine their presentation skills. click for details.
HOW TO MAKE MONEY FOR YOUR PROGRAM: This workshop is designed to give
you take-home ideas and strategies on how to expand sources of income for
